Due to high demand: SunExpress extends summer flight offer to Antalya

Due to a high demand, the airline SunExpress extends the flight frequency of its summer flights from Saarbrücken to Antalya until November 18th. The additional flights can already be booked.

The Turkish destination Antalya offered by SunExpress shows a continuously high demand for the autumn and winter season.  Therefore, the airline extends the present number of weekly flights to Antalya (7 departures per week) beyond the summer flight schedule to November 18th.

`Turkey has become one of the most popular travel destinations from Saarbrücken. The prolongation of the offer by SunExpress shows that the route is both attractive and economical. The result is an improved offer for our passengers and a higher utilization of capacity of the airport,` says Thomas Schuck, Managing Director of the airport.

`Antalya is a great travel destination not only in summer but also in winter. Especially when the gray days of autumn and winter prevail in Germany, our flight offer invites you to the Turkish Riviera. With its mild climate, the multi-faceted history and the first-class golf courses, sports enthusiasts, people interested in culture and nature lovers will get their money’s worth here throughout the year, says Peter Glade, Commercial Director at SunExpress.

Flight supply and demand regarding holiday destinations from Saarbrücken are normally  much higher in spring and summer than in autumn and winter. The destination Antalya – completed by the destination Izmir during the Christmas holidays – was for the first time served continuously  from Saarbrücken during the 2023/24 winter flight schedule, so that a solid demand was established. Both destinations will also make part of the next winter flight schedule of SunExpress.
