Besides the location marketing content for Saarland a presentation will also be made of the EU-funded Industrial Areas Masterplan Saarland scheme, the realisation of which has created four large, continuous industrial areas. The SHS subsidiary gwSaar has been entrusted with this project. State Secretary for Economic Affairs Barke is confident: “The development of the new, large areas has created the right conditions to ensure that Saarland, with its excellent transport connections and its direct proximity to France and Luxembourg, can continue to be an attractive business location. This gives us the opportunity to create numerous new, modern workplaces on the Saar River.”

The highlight of the trade fair visit in Munich will be the Crenet-Frühstück, a special trade fair breakfast event on Tuesday, October 8th, 2013 at the C1 restaurant at the Western Entrance, which the Mayor of Saarbrucken Charlotte Britz will also attend. Crenet is the largest German real estate association with a particular focus on the specialist education and further education of real estate professionals in real estate operations. Participants here have the opportunity to establish contacts and to exchange experiences with colleagues from within the country and abroad..
For Saarland to continue to fully utilize its location advantages in future, fulfil the needs and requirements of modern industrial companies and remain an attractive location to work and to locate businesses it is necessary to develop larger, continuous areas for industrial areas. This is the objective of the EU-funded Industrial Areas Masterplan Saarland scheme, which was adopted by Saarland’s regional government in 2007. It plans to develop four large industrial areas with a total area of 264 ha at various particularly suitable locations in Saarland by 2020.
