Tourism is an important economic factor here in addition to the establishment of business and industrial parks, which make the municipality of Tholey in Northern Saarland a regional job location. The main supra-regional attraction here is the Schaumberg. But the town centre of Tholey is also being upgraded. LEG Saar has been continuously involved in redevelopment measures in the town centre since 1987.
