International scientists on visit at informatics research institutes on the Saarbrücken campus

Saarbrücken computer scientists engineer technologies for the supermarket of the future, control the safety of aircraft or develop new technologies for cartoon film specialists – just to name a few examples of the research done on the campus of the Saarland University. On January 23 and 24, scientists from the USA, Asia, Australia and also from Europe can gain an impression of the diversity of research done in Saarbrücken.

The guests will visit the Max Planck Institute for Computer Science, the Excellence Cluster Multimodal Computing and Interaction and the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence. In lectures, demonstrations, and lab tours, professors and scientists will present topical research findings. The Science Tour, which is organized by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), takes place on a regular basis and covers varying research topics. For interested scientists from all over the world, it is an opportunity to get an insight into the local research landscape, to get to know renowned institutions and to establish contacts.
