Business travellers from Saarland breathe a sigh of relief: From November 6, flights from Saarbrücken to Munich will be provided by the airline bmi regional (British Midland Regional). Furthermore, connecting flights via Munich to European and worldwide destinations will be available soon.
From Monday to Friday, there will be two flights to Munich per day. On Saturdays and Sundays, one flight is offered. The flying time to the Bavarian metropolis is less than one hour. Therefore, the SCN marketing campaign runs under the slogan `Munich is nearer than Frankfurt now`.
On August 3, the new flight connection will be presented by Jürgen Barke, Chairman of the SCN Board and State Secretary for the Economy, Airport CEO Thomas Schuck, and Jochen Schnadt, Managing Director of BMI regional. For Jürgen Barke, `fast and reliable transport links are an important location factor for the Saarland. So, we are pleased that we could attract the renowned airline bmi regional for a flight connection from Saarbrücken to Munich. Aircraft with a demand-matching capacity and ideal slots to the Munich international flight hub make us feel optimistic that the flights will be well received by business travellers and also leisure travellers.
