Ford in Saarlouis: 14 million cars ex works

Production anniversary at the Saarlouis Ford plant: Since the start of production on June 11th, 1970, models ranging from the Escort to the legendary Capri or the current Focus and C-Max/Grand C-Max have been produced in Saarlouis. On Wednesday, June 16, the 14 millionth Ford, a Focus Sport (Red Edition) produced for a German customer, rolled off the assembly line in Saarlouis. Also Jim Farley (front, 6th from the left), Head of Ford Europe, had travelled to Saarlouis to celebrate the production jubilee together with Plant Manager Kerstin Lauer (front, 5th from the left) and her team. >> Read more (in German)
