WOGE Saar and Dock 11 have launched a joint call for tenders for the artistic design of the underground car park on Warburgring in Homburg. With this ‘Warburgring Gallery’ project, the partners are seeking to showcase contemporary urban art in a public space and enhance the district for the long term, whilst also promoting the Saarland urban art scene.
Shaping identity through art
The redesign of the underground car park on Warburgring road is specifically drawing on the power of top-quality urban art: professional murals and curated wall decorations are one of the most effective means of preventing vandalism and graffiti. Experience shows that areas showcasing sophisticated artistic designs are respected and significantly reduce illegal tags. This visual upgrade transforms a functional space into somewhere that establishes an identity and that residents will appreciate.
