On 16 April 2012 the ground-breaking ceremony for the company H&K Industrieanlagen GmbH took place in Dillingen Saar in the presence of the mayor of Dillingen, Franz-Josef Berg, and invited guests.
The company, which was founded in 2010 in Rehlingen-Siersburg, is going to move its site from Rehlingen-Siersburg to Dillingen Saar. The construction of the new administration building (for up to 150 employees) which is architecturally very challenging plus attached warehouse will be completed by the end of 2012 on a ground area of just under 19,000 m².
H&K Industrieanlagen GmbH has its roots in the medium-sized family business KOCH Transporttechnik GmbH, which is active worldwide and was founded in 1945 in Wadgassen, Saarland, by Emilie and Karl Koch.
In 1994 Hoestemberghe & Klütsch was integrated into the company.
Following the takeover of KOCH Transporttechnik GmbH by the Danish group FLSmidth in 2007, the Group’s activities in the rolling mill technology business segment were further expanded.
In the course of a restructuring within the FLSmidth Group, the rolling mill technology business segment was transferred into the present-day independent H&K Industrieanlagen GmbH. The previous managers of the rolling mill technology business segment seized the opportunity of using the employees’ many years of experience and founding their own company. They are planning to establish the new company on a wide scale internationally, and have already implemented this with two newly created branches in Russia and China.
Here too the comprehensive service of the SHS Group was effective: Saarland’s own gwSaar Saarland Economic Promotion Corporation supported the company as its central partner in respect of property and funding opportunities. SBB Saarland Bau und Boden Projektgesellschaft executed the preparation of the plot in line with the company’s wishes and also the sale, and the experts at LEG Saar took care of the planning issues.
