April 2024
gwSaar and InSaar at Hannover Messe 2024
The Saarland Economic Promotion Corporation (gwSaar) and InSaar EU-Hub will take part in the Hannover Messe 2024 for four days (from 22 to 26 April), where they will present their activities and their portfolios of services and will seek further cooperation partners and new companies looking for sites.
From the Monday (22 April) onwards, gwSaar and its network partners in InSaar EU-Hub will present their work at Saarland’s joint stand at Hannover Messe in Hall 2, organised by saaris. Some of the highlights at the stand and in the extensive programme include:
- Presentation on the “Korean Stage” of InSaar EU-Hub, its development to date and the optimum cooperation and innovation conditions in Saarland (23 April, from 10 am). Eight Korean start-ups, who took part in the IBK Changgong Europe Accelerating Program in Saarbrücken the week before, will also be able to present their business concepts and innovative products in person.
- Networking on the “Turkish Stage” and at the “Business Apéro”, the joint event organised by gwSaar and the Turkish-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (23 April, from 4 pm). Turkish and Saarland companies will have the opportunity to present themselves here to the trade fair audience and to exchange ideas with other companies. A total of six prominent speakers from Saarland and Turkey will present current developments and services.
- A discussion with international business developers on the subject of sustainability in the relocation industry on the “Sustainable Site Selection” panel. (24 April, from 11 am). Last year, gwSaar launched a unique Saarland-wide portal at www.portal.germanys.saarland to identify sites and establish contact with investors searching for sites. The revitalisation of so-called brownfield sites in particular makes a valuable contribution to the sustainable realisation of relocation projects.

Background: InSaar EU-Hub
The InSaar programme is developed and realised by gwSaar, KIST Europe, the Korean partner of gwSaar, iPartners and the law firm of Martin Bernhardt in cooperation with further Saarland stakeholders. The Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK) supports and promotes the start-ups. It is the largest bank in Korea and resolved in May 2023 to work closely with Saarland. Its funding portfolio includes more than 600 start-ups. The best of them are to be supported in their internationalisation in the EU, starting from Saarland.
