gwSaar will be using a modern exhibition concept to promote this automotive and industrial location under the ‘Germany’s Saarland’ international brand at the IAA Mobility trade fair, beginning on Tuesday (09/09). The join stand will see six Saarland exhibitors presenting their innovative products and services.
IAA Mobility, taking place in Munich from 9 to 14 September, is the largest mobility trade fair in the world. Using a modern trade fair format geared towards personal encounters and short channels, gwSaar will be inviting visitors from all over the world to explore the innovative products, services and technologies that Saarland companies have to offer. A joint stand (Hall B2, Stand C21) will serve as a unique showroom and meeting point, as well as a platform for presenting products and for information and networking.
The aim of the ‘Germany’s Saarland’ joint stand is to increase international awareness of Saarland as a hub of automotive manufacturing and industry, provide Saarland companies with global networking, promote cross-sector integration and open up new business areas.
The following companies will be presenting their products, services and research projects to an international audience at the Saarland stand:
August-Wilhelm Scheer Institute for Digital Products and Processes: The Institute and Mercedes-Benz bodybuilder ROLFHARTGE will be using a digital twin and intelligent AI agent on the example of a Mercedes EQV to demonstrate how work, communication and processes will be seamlessly intermeshed in the future.
mateligent Group: Via mateligent nititec and mateligent iDEAS, the Saarbrücken company will demonstrate how disruptive technologies can be implemented using energy-efficient, space-saving and scalable actuator and sensor systems – from prototype through to series production.
Autoregion e.V.: This association represents the interests of the vehicle industry and pools resources across the entire Greater Region. One of its areas of focus is collaborations with existing institutions, as well as working closely with established competence clusters.
Centre for Mechatronics and Automation Technology (ZeMA): As a leading international research and development partner for high-tech engineering, ZeMA serves as a bridge between science and business. ZeMA works directly with industrial companies, for example offering R&D collaboration projects, consulting and prototype development.
Gesellschaft für Transformationsmanagement Saar (TraSaar): TraSaar is a transformation network supported by the federal ministry, the Autoregion association and other Saarland partners as part of the Automotive industry future fund, and has already launched two projects:
The ‘hydrogen and fuel cell’ project is working on transformation in the field of hydrogen and fuel cells, and focusing on how a future-oriented business sector could be developed in the Saarland region for hydrogen production and use.
The ‘circular economy’ project is devoted to the question of how the efficient use of resources for traction batteries could be embedded and developed on a local level; this focuses on downstream processes such as second life use and recycling. The aim is to develop a system that combines environmental sustainability, economic efficiency and targeted qualification strategies.
zeit:raum performance: This company’s activities cover strategic development that combines design, marketing and technology, designing and implementing digital solutions, and data-based performance marketing. The aim is to give companies visibility in the digital world.
Minister of Economic Affairs Jürgen Barke will be visiting the joint stand on 11 September and talking to exhibitors as he tours the trade fair.
