At the new site, which is located on the territories of the communities of Homburg and Kirkel, the global transport and logistics provider with headquarters in Hedehusene (Denmark) now combines its three existing Saarland branches on an area covering 65,000 square meters.<\/p>\n<p>After a building time of only six months, the 22,000 square meter logistics center could be completed in June. Meanwhile, the existing Saarland branches &#8211; two in Saarbr\u00fccken and one in Saarlouis &#8211; have moved to Homburg. There, the two branches <em>DSV Road<\/em> and <em>DSV Solutions<\/em> are now bundling their capabilities to offer comprehensive services also on a local level. And all this under one roof.<\/p>\n<p>This includes automotive logistics and individual storage solutions, but also the handling of national and international cargo. With 17,000 trucks on European roads every day, <em>DSV Road<\/em> is a leading provider of integrated forwarding services. In Homburg, 1953 shipments are handled per day while 220 trucks are used in the incoming goods and outgoing goods process. Besides accessories for the automotive sector, also industry products and goods for retail sale are handled at the new site.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Good prospects<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Ideally situated in terms of transport connections, DSV expects new development opportunities and an optimal customer orientation from the new multi-user site. Apart from the central bundling of branches and services, the new logistics complex also allows a doubling of jobs. So far, about 130 persons were working at the three Saarland branches of DSV. The new logistics center provides room for up to 250 employed.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>A Masterplan location<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The industrial area <em>Am Zunderbaum<\/em> is one of the offerings under the <em>Industrial Areas Masterplan Saarland<\/em>. The Masterplan areas are situated directly on the border to our European neighbours France and Luxembourg, in close proximity of modern and resource- and service-oriented production facilities.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.masterplan-saarland.de\">www.masterplan-saarland.de<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>DSV &#8211; Global Transport and Logistics<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>DSV A\/S is a global forwarder and logistics provider with headquarters in Hedehusene (Denmark).
