Regarding the extension of the industrial area `Wällerichen` in Hasborn-Dautweiler, the community of Tholey will now be supported by LEG Saar Landesentwicklungsgesellschaft Saarland. All parties concerned agreed and, on September 7th, at the Tholey town hall, fixed this in an agency and service agreement. The agreement was signed by LEG Saar´s managing director Bernd Therre, mayor Hermann Josef Schmidt and Heinz Peter Klein, authorized person of LEG Saar.
A part of the `Wällerichen` area was developed already some years ago. Meanwhile, several medium-sized companies have been established there. The industrial area is located nearby the A1 and, therefore, very attractive also for logistics companies. Now, it´s about a surface of almost the size of a soccer pitch. A legally binding development plan for the new project which involves usable land of 9,000 square meters already exists. The area development shall include terracing work as well as work on the waste water sewer.
The building measure will be handled via an escrow account and be subsidized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
Following the planning phase, the building work shall start in summer 2019.
